From Ho Chi Minh City we had an enjoyable day trip to the Mekong Delta. We first stopped at the Vinh Trang pagoda, below:
At the Mekong Delta we had a number of local village stops where we sampled exotic fruits, honey tea and watched local sweets being made.
The trip was well organised by Atravelmate who specialise in small group tours. There was only 6 of us and we were lucky to spend the day with four lovely people, two from Australia and two from the UK. This is a good way of having a break from the hectic Ho Chi Minh City!
